If they were raised six months, the weight can be 800g to 1000g depending to my experience. The market, Overall, I cannot produce them enough for the market, that the season I supplied not meet the need. If they say they take 100 Kg per day, unless we have the frog pool much as ton, we do is it rotates. I did not have a market, but just today the customers they buy baby frogs from me, example they got the result and want to sell to the market, I will tell such that customers from Vietnam to buy from them this place or others place. Anyways, we can sell in amount of from not enough to the market need, 100 kg to 200 Kg of frogs, we can sell to only one customer and he sell in the market take a bit long they will be sold. Nowadays, we can sell to the villagers who their relatives visiting their home and they compare the fish cost 13,000 Riel (3.25$) per kilo and the frog cost 14,000 Riel (3.50$) per Kilo, they would prefer the frog.” According the notifying of the local authorities of Cheung Prei District, Kampong Cham Province, the main earning of the farmer in Phnovlech Village are depending on farming, planting and selling glossary as small amount in their home. Regarding the frog raising of Mr. Hong Heng is a new business, earning better and make farmers interested and supported in buying the frog from him continuity. Mr. Sin Suy, chiefs of Phnovlech Village, Precha Commune Cheung Prei District, Kampong Cham Province said,”The people in the village are farmers and also vendors at home for more income, doing this around 20 families and made rice in the dry season and rainy season and raise chicken. We just seeing Mr. Hong Heng, he has the technical raising frogs, then knowing to others village, they come and buy from him. In the past, his family is poor and first, he has the technical raising crickets and then it failed after that he starting raising frogs and he get better and better with that raising till now by his wife and children helping.” According to Mr. Hong Heng raising frogs success is depends the 3 things. First choosing parent frogs should be big and healthy. Second, feeding Generally, Mr. Hong Heng fed to frogs twice per day and in accordance with the lifetime of frogs particularly. He is looking anxiously watching the variation of eggs frogs. Third, division aquarium frogs depend on the age of frogs, especially the pool was an atmosphere and good ventilation so that baby frogs healthy grow very faster. Everyone who feed the frogs need the changing water frequently and cleaning the pool regularly.
KPC Frog Raising Mr. Hong Heng said,”Above all, we choose varieties of frogs, take big both female and male frogs like to the natural frog. And when our frogs produce eggs, we took pool approximately 2 m by 4 m with water 10 cm depth, took the water green into that tank one by one till they are full all water and catch the female frog and male frog placed once and in time ,they hugging when they hugs came as eggs, we try to watch when they already produce eggs and we take female and male out, leaving only the eggs perfectly in one day they hatched and continued by day later it hatched and we no need to care about the hatch, let they live as the natural, then maybe 3 or 4 days concluded that the baby frogs are able to eat and we take boiled duck eggs, we chose the yellow of middle only deployed in the pool, they might eat. In one female frog we spent one duck eggs for feed and a week later we might spend two duck eggs to feed. Until the 10-day baby frogs can eat and we are able to provide frog food that available in the market, we can take for them to eat. 20 days later, the baby frogs can eat normally. 20 days to 25 days, frogs begin to have hand and leg. first, they have the leg after 4 days of having leg, they will have hand. When they have hand and leg we need to take them out to other pool with a bit water that they can play and live not make them die.” Generally, when farmers in villages and farmers from others village purchase frogs for re-seller and kept for eating, Mr. Hong Heng always share techniques and experiences raising frog to that farmers. Some farmers who have applied in a way Mr. Hong Heng raising the frogs, can earn for their live better and better. Farmer asked : frogs produced eggs, where to put the eggs and how to hatch? Mr. Hong Heng : Take female and male frog then placed them in the pool, we put the water about 10 cm depth for frogs to release eggs, and then we put water green to the pool one by one till they full for the eggs to stay. The eggs can be damaged if there is no enough daylight, if the cold is not hatch too sky cold it does not hatch unless sunny. Farmer asked : where the eggs to put? Mr. Hong Heng : let they hatch in the pool, three to four days, we can see that they are baby frog, we boiled duck egg and put into the pool for them to eat and take the red ones only. A week later, we can separate feed or provide food we buy from market. Approximately 20 days, they can eat normally, 20 to 25 days, they grows legs later they grow hand, but the tail is not yet cut and within a week the tail will be cut. Then, we can take them out for normally feeding and train them how to eat. When their aged a month, they can be sold to others that want to feed them. They cost depending the amount of buying like a few hundred and a few thousand to feed. Raising is such care, don’t put much water just slowly water in the pool so that the baby frogs can to learn to live in pool and know how to eat, do not let them over water, do not let them swim, less water is perfectly easily for them to catch the food. A month later, the frogs is large and they good enough to live by their own we can provide food or no need because they guarantees themselves. If there is a light, we can put near the pool to attract the insects like crickets and others fall down to the pool, it can feed the frog and that insect contains higher vitamins. Mr. Hong Heng’s frog farm has one female frog can produce 3,000 to 4,000 eggs and the rate of 85% are alive. Two to three months for frog meat, Mr. Hong Heng can caught for sales. If female frogs can weighs about 350g and male frog weighs 150g up. Mr. Hong Heng earned from the sale of frog meat per kilo more than a thousand Riel (around 3.5$ per Kilo) that let him handle the food and the children to school every day. Mr. Hong Heng also consider ready by earnings from farming and selling baby frogs 700 riel (0.18$) per frog, he can save to expand the business further. Mr. Hong Heng said,”Nowadays, my understanding of raising frog is limited, mean I understand about 50%, others 50% more, if there is an expert on agriculture, they may be able to help to explain more, train me more would love to say thank and welcome” Mr. Thy Heng, Farmer said, “Last year I feed duck, now the weather is hot and not good, rain not enough, and there are no food for ducks as we depending on feed them on the fields so there is not enough rain that why I stop feeding duck. Seeing him feed frog successfully and his family situation get better and better, I’m very like wants to raise too” Mr. Sin Suy chiefs Phnovlec Vill, Preicha Commune Kampong Cham Province said, “there is nothing, just requested the provincial agriculture and agricultural districts, let help techniques of raising the animal for people like chickens raising, ducks raising, cows raising, frogs raising, and fish farming assist the enough technical feeding” According to frog experts, frog is an animal reproduction outside means frogs, the female lay eggs for themselves and then releasing eggs came out and female frogs have a role releasing sperm for hatching a baby frogs. Frogs is in a variety of aquaculture, which has feed less and the market need is high and expensive. Hence farmers can easily come to work and interested in feeding on aquaculture well.
